Cal Poly Pomona is a good school. Its a CAL state school and i live really close to it. It sucks to go to school in California now because of the recent budget cuts! I got to Mt. SAC right down the street from cal poly. Mt sac is a community college and it is being hit hard by budget cuts. =[

Most def get some roommates man. I have my home in the ghetto. My mortgage is 460 a month. But they rent out these places for around 1200 bucks a month. I don't know how some people can afford them.
And by ghetto, lemme reiterate. Neighbor to my left was the local weed man. Someone tried to rob him, so he shot the robber, chopped him up and tried to throw body parts at lytell creek. Neighbors to my right used to be huge meth heads, always loud and arguing at all hours of the night, always violent. The young girl who lived there continually put each and every single one of her bfs in the hospital. They just recently moved. Those are just 2 examples of an entire fucked up street. And believe it or not, Its actually gotten better! Ive had to do alot of bad things im unhappy with when i moved in here. I wouldnt want you to to relive the same.
Moral of the story, Get roommates, find a much better area to live in.

I'm renting a small 2-story 4BR/2Bath with 3 buddies. Re-modeled and in a decent area. Decent sized rooms and no need to share them $2200 ftw

$550 each. $600 w/ full amenities

That's not bad. There's actually quite a few decent 3,4, and 5 bedroom houses in socal all for that price and less. During the housing spike I had a 4bedroom 2k sqft 2 1/2 bath for 2k a month. After groceries and utilities I think I was paying around 500 a month or so.

go to san jose state its one of the cheapest schools in california, good housing around it, and a nice place to live.
then take the extra money ur dad saves on tuition and put it in ur pos mustang so it can move out of its own way

stay in the greater L.A. area, and cost of living w/ a roomate is do-able.

Oxnard, simi valley, the san fernando valley (canoga park, reseda, winnetka, north hills)

Like hunterkiller said, Moorpark CC is the best hands down to transfer out of into a UC.
Northridge a.k.a CSUN is known for their business program.

If you wanna live in a semi-decent but not to expensive area, and want to be in the city.
Try looking for a apt. in west hollywood near the strip. Its busy, roads are fucked up, bums, usc and ucla are very close. Santa monica CC is close, and it's hollywood...

and a lot less traffic than LA

my buddies used to live there. they moved out. not to mention its month to month. no 6 month- year lease.

they usually have openings there. has a pool and BBQ
