Sounds like he got one that didn't go through dealer prep.

Take it back and have the service department install the supercharger (they probably just forgot to).

And if that works, let me know where that dealership is....

Unfortunately the sales contract has the VIN number on it; it would be tough to get the sale voided.

did you relize the 3-5 THOUSAND dollar difference?

Did you relize, the badges didnt say SUPERCHARGED

did you relize the smaller rims, different body kit?

did you look under the hood?

if you LOOKED CLOSELY you would see a supercharger

have fun with your 2.4!

any cobalt is a good cobalt IMO

There was someone else a long time ago that thought he just bought a ss/sc when he got a 2.4...I forget who had to pop hoods and compare the two...plus his was white which was a giveaway.

WTF happened to popping the hoods and kicking the tires before buying a car anymore?

Surely he's joking?

I purposely bought a 2.4l because I wanted the auto tranny, if I had the gumption to fart with the manual or if they had an auto SS/SC, I would have gone that route. But I researched my car buying decision and knew exactly what I was giving up.

Besides, take the extra couple of G's you would have spent and put it towards a turbo setup. That would even the score nicely

Okay, I am usually the champion of new members rights. But I honestly can't figure out if this is a joke, or a serious question. Because if its a serious question, I really just don't know what to say.

Well look at my car? it sure as hell could pass for a 2door ss/na unless you look under the hood or up close @ badges you wouldnt be able to tell its ss/sc. And if you kno anything about cobalts you notice the body kit right away but for an average person that knows nothing about balts im sure they might think a ss is supercharged.

The only visible differences is the lip on the front and rear bumper and of course....the "SUPERCHARGED" under the SS badges.... which is very tiny....very very tiny...(HA HA SS/SC guys have tiny badges!! LOLZ )
The spoiler isn't a given on either trim.
But honestly I hardly ever see Balt SS's of EITHER variety on dealer lots. And when I do, I don't see the other trim. Honestly I don't think dealers know, or Care, to order both trims.
I could honestly see a person going to the car lot and thinking that there was only one SS model. even when you research the car, It's hard to find information about the 2.4l, The Supercharged gets all the attention in car reviews, and the NA is rarely mentioned. Hell the only reason I first found out was because I called and asked my insurance company about insurance rates and they asked which engine was in it. I was like" 2.0l Supercharged SS or 2.4l SS, what?"

i went to a chevy dealer and my budy said to get the cobalt ss so I did...the patches say ss...I didnt realize that there was a supercharged one until after the purchase...the finance guy and salesmen said it was supercharged....i was told to join this forum to learn more about the car lol

I apologize seems like alot of you know about cars I don;t and I am trying to learn...this is the first new car I have ever bought. nobody ever told me to pop the hood on a car and even if I did I would have no clue what I was looking at...
