Coming West (LA / Hawthorne Area)

Hey there, just wanted to say Hi, introduce myself, and also see what info I could pick up. Im currently out in Myrtle Beach, SC, but will be moving to the Hawthorne area for a new job in mid September.

Curious to see what kind of SCCA (Autocross, PDX, time trial) stuff is in socal, as well as meets and gatherings to try and make some new friends. Dont really know too many people out west.

Word. Just joined the FB group. Anyone have reccomendations for storage units around the Hawthorne Area? I am going to be needing to dump my toolboxes and furniture for a couple weeks while looking for a place (Thank god for company paid relocation and temp housing)

Depends where in Hawthorne you'll be at, but I would recommend:
SmartStop Self Storage‎
12714 South La Cienega Boulevard
Hawthorne, CA 90250
(310) 725-0088
smartstopselfstorage.com‎

Depending on what I do, it will either be another set of Hankook Z214 R comps, or RS3's for the track wheels

Made it into town yesterday. car needs a bath thanks to the dust storms in NM.

When and where does stuff happen? I know 2 people in this town... and that needs to change, haha

What are some good car washes and some good alignment shops? (anyone have a hookup?)

That's alright you don't need a lot of hp for the local canyons anyway

I live in the heart of the santa monica mountains commonly ventured to by all the car clubs.

Looking forward to meeting you

Trying to find housing is proving to be a bitch. Anyone know of trustworthy people or places looking to rent for under $800 a month?
