BOV's serve a purpose when the system calls for atmospheric venting, but the sound is becoming a status symbol for those who don't understand the physics behind it.

Calling a BOV rice is like calling CF rice. It's gotten to the point that people stop caring about what its original purpose was, just that it looks/sounds cool so they should have it.
