I've used the Dynodynamics dynos before. They are a good dyno.

Heads up to everyone: That type of dyno typically produces lower numbers than a Dynojet, it is a load bearing dyno so it is more akin to the Mustang dyno. That's good for tuning, bad for bragging rights. Just dont bring your ego with you to the dyno, it may get a little hurt.

For comparison: dynos an LNF on Dynojet and got 287whp, took it to a dyno dynamics and got 263whp. It will still give us all thje results you need for before/after, and accurate AFR readings.

I do highly prefer the dynojet with optical sensors because they can determine the RPM on an LNF. HOW IS THIS SHOP GOING TO READ THE RPM ON THE LNF? We need to make sure this shop is prepared for this because you cannot determine it from ignition signal like most cars, the spark system double fires after 5,000rpm causing ignition probes to read 10,000+ rpms.

Please contact the shop for an answer, if they can't read the rpm you wont be able to determine torque, and your results will be worthless.

The 08 2.4L cannot be tuned yet with HPT.

I'll tune for your mods on a per car basis. Since we are Dyno tuning everyone will get a custom tune for their particular car. That's the point of doing this.

hey steveo this is that they said man!

Hi,

got an answer for you. the dyno can record tach signal through the rollers. once the gear ratio is established the tach can be monitored via ignition spark or the rollers.

cause i looked and the rooms that were cheap couldn't fit a queen size bed, let alone anything else. plus they were charging another 100 for utilities in a cubby hole. AND i would have had to share a bathroom with at least 3 other people.

i found a studio in burbank for 550 with all utilities included, it's bigger than my current room, and it's all by myself.

AS FOR THE TUNE....i got my hopes up for nothing.... although Vince at trifecta said he had a tune for my car... maybe have to go that way later on, when i get cash..

I WILL STILL ACCEPT THE $2 house warming fee

Subject: 2008 Sport questions

i have an 08 Cobalt Sport with the 2.4L. i currently have a K&N cold
air intake, a V2 header from cobalt addiction, a vibrant downpipe WITH
high flow cat, and dual pipes with race mufflers. i am currently
throwing a 4020 code (O2 sensor) because of the increased flow. i was
wondering if there was a tune for my car? eveyone says the new 08 have
a different ECU or PCM, something, and they aren't tunable yet. i was
also wondering if it was possible to do an O2 delete so that i don't
have to erase the code all the time. plus, i could always use more
power if the tune does exist. i tried to put an O2 spacer on it so it
doesn't get direct flow, but still no luck. i guess im looking for any
info you have on the 08 Sport 2.4L. Mine is Manual (5 speed) if that
makes a difference.

thanks

Yes, we have a tune for that car and we can fix that code for you. It does
use a different ECM than 2006 and 2007 - it's the E37 instead of the E67.
Unfortunately our advertising doesn't work as well as it needs, we've had
tuning for it since June 2008. ;-)

The price is $250 + shipping, and you can order at
https://www.trifectaperformance.com/cia-order. Thanks!
