Extra Intercooler pumps? Anyone?

Hello gang: My new pump from the "ebay connection" just went out again, so I think I'm just break out the cash for the big dogg pump from summit racing. Mean while my current pump is not working.

Does anyone have an extra one they will part with or sell me? Any hook ups on a used one?

I'm looking for a temp fix for now.....

I posted up a "WTB" in the parts/sell section, but havent gotten any hits....

Been there, done that. Ya, the Harley trucks, Lightenings/Cobras -- all the same pump.

My ebay pump for $89.00 already went out. $89.00 is a great price compared to the dealerships, but still. I'm not going to spend $89.00 every other month...

Have you tried tapping on the pump with a hammer? If you don't have the pump set to accessory thru HPTuners, start the car and get under the front of it. Take a hammer and lightly peck on the plastic side. It may come back on, it may not. But it's worth a shot. But try it a couple times. Worked for me and a few other guys...

Do a search on google for "Hella water pump" and "Bosch water pump" and you should get quite a few hits for place that sell them. They're the OEM units on many cars (especially European diesels) and I've seen good luck with them. I just did a quick search and it looks like they're averaging about $130-140 right now.

Also if you've replaced your pump before and had the system apart, what coolant did you use to refill it? It's important not to mix coolant types since even some of these new "all make/brand" generic coolants can lead to sludge buildup over time. It's also important to only use distilled water in the system as tap water usually contains a ton of minerals that can accelerate wear on the pump's impeller, seals, etc.
