FEB Temecula mega meet (OC+IE+SD+LA+VC meet)
Well it would've been cool if everyone would've showed up at 11. Most of the sol/skys were there at about 10:40. When i rolled up at 11 or 11:10 with about 8 other sol/skys, the only cars their were the rest of the sols/skys. The bulk of the people didnt get their until like 11:30..maybe a little later and the first group of sol/skys were getting kinda tired of waiting and wanted to get the cruise over with because it was getting close to noon.
From the first parking lot i was 100% sure that Steve told everyone to go North on the 15 and exit central which is what we did. From their for some reason we met up at a home depot parking lot. And then from there for some reason we ended up going to Tom's farm to meet up with the rest of the cobalts. About half of the group at home depot just stayed their while the rest went to Tom's farm (im sure some people were mad that we kept going from parking lot to parking lot). By that time some people had worked up an appetite so instead of meeting at Tom's farm i guess people just decided to eat. The line at the restaurant was ridiculous so myself and a couple buddies just went to carls jr which was within walking distance. I dont know why we went to toms farm after we had agreed to go on the cruise which was off of central cuz that's where things kinda started to go wrong and people were calling me that they were already on the other side of hwy 74.
The most important part of course is organization. We DID have a big group but i feel that we could've kept all of us together if we were more organized. An important part is actually being their on time cuz the people that come late are the people that still want to hang out for like another hour while the people that got their on time or even early have been waiting around. Meeting should have been at 11, the cruise should've been set at like 12 firm or 12:30 firm or 1:00 firm (it doesnt matter when, you just need to set a time) that way people can just show up right before the cruise if they choose to.
But overall steve....I loved it and and the buddies i rolled with absolutely loved it. Thanks for putting this meet together. It's a great learning experience for handling big groups. It was also cool chillen with the balts and that one celica up on hwy 74. We got some good pics of all of us bunched up on the turn out haha and it was cool chillen at the parking lot after the 74 too. I'd be totally up for something like this again, we'll just have set times so everyone can be happy.
Thanks fellas, I had a GREAT TIME no matter how crazy it got hahaha. I cant honestly say I wasnt expecting pure madness

Yeah....the Sol/Sky people did mention that we should've met at an area where there is food available but what can you do when you're expecting 60+ cars. I felt like the meet up point was fine...and i think people should've eaten before the meet and be ready to hang out and cruise and then maybe eat after or just head home.
yeah very true
well someone told me that some people werent going to cruze so i was trying to give a lot of time to people who wanted to see some nice cars too.
oh well next time should b fun

lol yeah...my bad on that part. I introduced myself but didnt tell you i was "Deep-GXP" on the forums. I was the dude saying "Steve!? Steve!? Does anyone know Steve? Is Steve here?? Where's Steve!?" lol. and you should have my number too cuz im the guy that called you at like 11:01 from a 626 area code. Rootbeer hooked it up with your number cuz we were already there and we were wondering if you guys were at another parking lot cuz no one was there yet hahaha.
yeah dude it's all good. Im sure everyone had a great time even if they ended up cruisin in small groups. 60 cars on hwy 74 would've been madness. Next time just be like we're meeting at 11 and we're not gonna cruise til 1pm. That way people that want to check out cars can show up at 10:30-11 and be able to check out cars for about 2 hours, and the people that want to cruise/look at some cars can show up anywhere from 10:30-12:30ish.
But whatever. GREAT MEET, GREAT TIMES, LETS DO IT AGAIN.
Not sure but i would assume much less. If anything maybe just the younger crowd which with us might be about 5 cars lol. But I myself wouldnt be able to make it. The only time i can make FOR SURE is on Sundays (I run a business 6 days a week).
I was thinking about doing that in spring, less chance of road debry and incliment weather. We had a great turn out last I did that meet.(35 cars)
Yeah....I think it's just cuz we're used to meeting up with ONLY sol/skys which limits it down to anywhere from like 5-20 people at most and it's much easier to stay on task. We usually meet at a spot where there's food around and as soon as everyone gets their we decide to either leave or maybe hang out for like another 15-20 minutes. Then after there is usually an optional dinner for those who would like to stay.
