what order do I need to do things in for registering my car here? Recon, safety, insurance, plates? I'm going with USAA as my insurance cause they are giving me a wayyyyyyyyy better deal then ****** Allstate. I need to schedule a recon and I guess I can't do safety without it?

double p.s. sam i don't believe you will need recon escept the front plate. there is this place in my town will pass my car as it is.

triple p.s. i don't need front plate because my state don't require it, but i saw the three hole on your car, so just mount up the plate and you should be good.

The big problem is even if you keep your out of state plates you can still get pulled over for recon violation, and you can't get recone without hawaii registration I believe...

 

well see the thing is that I am going to register my car in Hawaii. I'm ditching my Kentucky plates. I have my licence plate holder. I just need to know what order and what town you went to for inspection, causeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I wanna go there

 

SO! Our big scav hunt meet is coming up soon. So I've kinda played around with everything so heres what I got. Lemme know what you guys think. If there is anything you can think of to add or change let me know.

8 hour time limit. Team with most points at the end of the time limit or first team to complete all items wins. Losing team will provide the food for potluck/BBQ following weekend.
Each team will have a thread on Hawaii Talks - Hawaii's Online Community Forums. To score points for any item the item has to be uploaded to photobucket and posted on your team's thread. All posts must be submitted prior to the end of the 8 hour time limit.
All submitted pictures must include at least
One (or more) team car. Items noted with a (*) stand for items that will be difficult to get a picture of while also including your car, thus these noted items must have at least 2 team members.
Remember that while some of the clues are fairly straight forward, others are a little vague, so start googling!
We will meet at 8 am to divide up the list and figure out the teams. The official start time will be 9 am. We will meet again at 5pm. The morning meet will be the pali lookout and the afternoon meet will be the starbucks at moanaloa shopping center.

6) Have a japanese tourist stand with your car (bonus points if you can get them to “pose” with your car lol)
7) A Jet ski

9) Someone with a Blue aloha shirt with your car (not a team member)
10) All the wal marts on island (4 of them total) (kunia, mililani, pearl city, town)
11) A locomotive ( surprisingly theres a couple places wher eyou can find one of these)
12) 4 of the coffee bean and tea leafs around the island (theres a bunch, shouldn’t be too hard)
13) Find a blue rental cobalt and take a picture of it with all the teams cars (bonus points if you can get the driver to put on an island ecotecs decal)
14) A live chicken they are everywhere. The trick is getting them in a pic with your car)
15) Get a pic of your car with a cop “pulling you over” (lol figure it out how you wanna go about that one yourself)
16) A cave that goes deeper than 20 ft.* Theres a couple of these that are easy to get to)
17) A car, that’s not a cobalt, with a pedo bear decal on it. LOL
18) Pull the entire team into a chevy dealership
19) Pull the entire team into a ford dealership and shake heads at the people looking at buying mustangs
20) A pic of your car with your back wheels in the ocean. Figure it out. There are a few places around the island...
21) Get a car wash at a charity car wash (hickam usually has one on Sundays unless its raining.)
22) A speed limit sign that doesnt end in “0” or “5”

 

One thing I'm thinking of adding is that once we divide into our teams and each team gets the list of items that they need to get, each team will then get to remove like 5 items from the list (except from the list of items both teams needs to do)

 

well, all i know is that the safety inspector said he will pas me if my state only requires one license plate. and my car ain't slam to the point where its a cop magnet. so its not a gurantee i will pass, because i didn't show the inspector what my car looks like yet.
