First Off...Welcome to the site Black
The TCs are probably fun but I wouldnt understimate the SCs by any means. I have seen some nasty SCs in Florida not long ago (wish I still lived there). Believe it or not I have yet to see an SS/TC in person, but seeing how I called the parts Dept today at the local Chevy dealer and he had no idea there was such a thing as the GM stage kits----I dont believe there is many inquiries for Cobalt upgrades here At least not through the the dealerships. I dont see how anyone can sell cars, much less the parts for them and not know the capabilites of what their cars can do

~Cole~ Thats a nice setup you have on your Balt. I have my LS4 TB setting here and I just need to get my new intake/spacer setup with Meth, new Header/DP combo and 3" exhaust just to mention a few future upgrades... Hope to have it all ready to install by early Spring. Maybe one day I can make a trip out that way with the Balt. I've only drove semis through Cali before......not near as much fun

No offense to Rissa but I think Cole could beat her Balt hands down

C'mon now, don't tell me you're jumping on the turbo is better bandwagon

There are some very nasty SC's around, and mine will have a little bit of get-up to it once i get home. I wouldn't underestimate our power delivery from a roll. As much as you probably hate mustangs (with good reason ) i was able to hang with 05-06 GT's stock for stock from a roll.

Dyno day: 340 whp, all carb legal.

1st time at the track: Ran a 13.3

On a cruise with some other F-bodies

I saw a black SS/TC yesterday turning left onto Melrose from Oceanside Blvd. It had those military stickers on the window so im assuming hes a Marine from Pendleton. Does anyone know who that is or was?

Lol...well i take it that if they are on here they arent buying the SS for a cheap DD. Ive seen under the hood of a stock 09 SS/TC. Lets just say there is a lot to be desired.

in looks yes, GM has never been great about clean engine bays, or routing the wiring well.

But, these little four cylender cars are pulling close to 320whp on just a TUNE, whereas your car with 340 is going to suffer in the weight department.

We don't want to bash you man, because you seem like a cool guy, but looks can be decieving, as a few f-bodies and mustangs have learned from my 06 SC, with only an intake. you would be suprised at what a driver mod can do.

Well i know how to handle my car and MANY people have doubted me and lost. But your right, weight is becoming more and more of an issue. Especially since gas prices are going to go up again. I love my car, but im going to need something a litle more economic. Since i have heard nothing but good things with the the SS/TC, I'm starting to think i should get one.

I had my sights set on a C6, but there's that economical factor again. I just havent seen to many Cobalt's and ive never raced one. If there are a few that can beat me then ide be much more inclined to join the Cobalt crew. Cant beat 'em.....join 'em.

That would be enjoyable. What is your mod list? I test drove a bone stock 09 SS at the dealership. The feels totally solid and quite restricted. I remeber watching the boost guage spike to 17 then cut back to 15. I told the car i wanted to go fast, but the computer said no!

OH YEA! MANY of the LS1 guys i have met/ cruised with are strickly one minded. Thier Camaro is the greatest car ever created (aside from the Vette) and everything else is inferior to our power. They are your typical straight line, smokey burnouts, raw horsepower kinda guys. Some are like me and know that other cars have thier advantages and disadvantages.

But yea most of them think that corner carving is lame and stopping isnt a big priority (because you should just be going faster). But im sure most of thier hate has comes from ignorance. None of us have seen too many Redlines or Balts, and the ones we have seen are either slow and think thier fast, riced out, or both.

However, growing up around all my JDM friends has taught me to be more open minded. You wouldnt believe the flames i took from them for having a domestic V8 pos...bla bla...but i dish it all back to them when i smoke thier ass...lol

Prime example! I dont even know what that is anymore!
