It's a ticking sound, not the normal diesel sounding tick of my car lol but something is a little off it's a very slow tick and it gets faster as you give it gas and it's coming from the rear of the engine.
they WILL find your tune
unless you throw a whole nother ecu on there

Well David said he'd let me use his stock ECU so if that's the case then I could just do that as well.

Rissa my best friend and a guy ion the crew is a head GM tech at my dealer and on the ecu u have GM can only tell that the pcm has been reflashed. They cant see that u had a tune, there r any number of excuses u can use to say ur pcm was reflashed and in any case if they tried to deny ur warranty they have no evidance of anything that could have caused it

that is a normal sound. the cam driven fuel pump changes tones depending on run time. leave the car be. it is fine.

I'm not telling her to keep her hpt tune on there i am saying if she reflashes it with the stock tune thats all they will be able to see, should have cleared that up

I wish it was a normal sound but it isn't, I have located the exact spot where it's coming from and you can feel it if you touch it even tho it's a tad hot lol. I'll take a pic of it and circle exactly where it's coming from, and it's nowhere near the turbo phew!!! I'm taking it in tomorrow.

This is where the sound is coming from.

I'll get a better pic later.

it IS normal for the fuel pump to make that noise. bone stock cars with 0 miles will make this noise.

No I've let 2 people listen to it, it's REALLY hard to explain and describe the sound without you hearing it. I listened to a bone stock totally fine LNF, and then mine, and you could definitely tell the difference. Fly over here and take a listen lol I know how my car normally sounds I listent to it every day and it's definitely not normal.

she brought it to me.

it makes a cling cling cling sound every second or so. its not the noremal fast paced ticking that comes from the motor.

but when she gets on it, it speeds up. then slows down.

The pretty pink circle is around your cam driven fuel pump it ticks and tocks speeds up slows down etc. It's just another normal cobalt ss sound. No need to panic your fine.
