I need someone with HPtuners
Yes the D/I ticking on a cold start is very quick (going with the RPMs) when the engine warms up and drops to idle speeds of 900 RPMs or so the D/I will have a slight 1 second tune to it.... It's normal, why does this tick bother everyone so much it's there from Day 1!
No he has an ss/tc lol we listened to his first, then mine, total difference. We had about 4 people listening to it as well and they could all hear it. I know what my car sounds like normal, I listen to it as it warms up every day with my windows down and 2 days ago, it started making a different sound, and with our dyno day coming up I just want to be 110% sure that there is nothing wrong.
I wish I could let some of you listen to it because theeeen you'd realize what I'm talking about lol.

My guess as to the outcome of the dealer visit, if there's not any drivability concerns or issues and the fuel pressure is showing fine on the Tech2, don't be surprised if the dealer comes back and says it's normal. I haven't heard the car in person so I can't comment and even a video or audio recording wouldn't help much, but there is a little variation in what some of the direct injection setups can sound like.
The car should still be underwarranty. When you took it to the dealer did they write the car up and did you get a repair order when you got the car back? If not I would have the dealer create a repair order documenting the abnormal noise, if anything happens soon down the road the problem is documented and you should be covered. (warranty wise)
