I was driving around the Coachella Valley area yesterday and happened to stop by the Jessup Chevrolet/Pontiac/Saab/Buick/Caddy/Hummer lot when I spotted a new SS Turbo coupe. They currently have a "certified pre-owned" yellow '09 coupe with the high rise spoiler, LSD, sunroof, and upgraded USB radio with the grey/ebony interior for $19.6k on a red tag sale. The car only has 56 miles on it and I'd bet it's being sold as used because they bought inventory from another dealer that closed or at auction. There were also a few other cars with similarly low mileage on their used car portion of the lot.

I looked over the car and it's really clean and essentially brand new. It still has a couple of the grease pencil marks from the factory, the tires show no wear, etc. There have been some of those hail damaged cars and other deals in the midwest and out east but this seems like a great deal if someone out here is looking for one. I've shopped them before years ago and they were a little on the high pressure side when trying to close a deal but if you don't mind new car negotiation you might even be able to get the car for a little less. Not sure how much room they have to work on it but even at that price it's a killer deal for someone.
