DO NOT PREREGISTER!!! Just show up on race day. Military folks run cheap and don't take up slots on the capped entry for the event. If you all pre reg, it will take slots from civvies that want to run.

Not gonna happen. Autocross is skill driving, not raw speed at all. It's also a shitload of fun. If you want to top your car out, the Silver State Classic is pretty much your only legal option and it happens once a year. It IS coming up soon though...
In th meantime, get them out to this event to see A. - how their cars handle, and B. - how well they can handle their cars.

Hey how much did DDS charge you if you dont mind me asking? I just called them they want to charge me 600 dollars for a tune damn that alot. I got quote at a shop at the speed way for 300 or i might as well get trifecta tunned and they'll sell me the equipment for cheaper than 600. HP tunner is cheaper than that too.

Well im gonna get tunned after i get zzp stage 2 and H\E. My mods would be zzp stage 2, h\e, clutchmaster stage 2 clutch, fidanze fly, ls4 tb, headers, catted dp and cold air intake. I think thats it lol so it gonna be a little modded. I wonder how much Vegas speed would charge.
I've done the full course at Miller - which you REALLY should do sometime, one of the best in the country and maybe the world - been around Spring Mountain and SIR (if it's even still called that) more than a few times. I know road courses and "real speed".
Autocross is still a BLAST, and in some ways I have more fun autocrossing. It's a completely different challenge. Many more inputs per second and much more technical car control. A good autocrosser will always make a good racer, but not all racers can autocross.
