thats all true, i just like how the coupe looks better, and you can always make the chassis stiffer...

saw the genesis at the car LA car show...the coupe is fast as hell. 300 hp, rear wheel drive. reasonably priced, especially compared to the Z.did you see on the speed channel the making of the superbowl commercial.. reese millan (spelling off) was drifting it.
thats one bad ass car

lets not forget too, that it is a HUN - DAY (pronounced that way as shown in the super bowl commercial). who knows what type of quality is there. but that much power with possible upgrades to make more = sleeper.i would de-badge it so no 1 would know hun-day

Hyundai has great quality now compared to just a few years ago and their cars improve leaps and bounds every generation. Their Kia brand is still improving but Hyundai Motors is fairly solid. If you were looking at the new Genesis Coupe the hot item might be the base car with the 2.0L turbo engine and the "Track" pack that includes the suspension, Brembo brakes, etc., from the top level V6 car (basically all the performance stuff and none of the weight adding luxury items). That engine is the World Engine Hyundai designed which is also used by Mitsubishi and Chrysler and in the new Evo and Caliber SRT-4, which is starting to prove itself very stout.

so... back on subject. whats goin on with the car. insurance figure it out? you gonna buy it back and part out? any new updates.

btw. got the tires off dave. nice guy. he said that he should never have told you the camping story...if you dont give me your 18" rims, i may have to go to him. didn't realize where he worked. he told me if i wanted anything else, rims or tires, to let him know. i'd rather get your rims cuz they may be cheaper, but if i can't, he would be my next choice

how much you want for them...i'm not looking to spend an arm and leg. i saw people selling them for....$1000 (pinky finger in mouth). i might be laughed at, but i was hoping to spend maybe $200 or so on the rims, just cause his car was totalled and he didn't need them.

also, i've been looking at some Enkei's as well. they are bad ass,but expensive. if i had money, or maybe if Steve's friend had a good discount on them, maybe i'd get some in the future

oh, i forgot to ask, are your rims 18's and gun metal. thats what i am looking for if i keep it stock-ish, if i have to go after market, im going blacked out, no chrome lip or anything. haven't decided on flat or gloss, if you look at my profile/vGarage, you'll see i have a gray car and i am trying to go for the smoked look

cole, aluminum doesnt rust, it does however "pit" but the chances of that on an exhaust is almost slim to none.

i dont think i've ever seen an "aluminum" exhaust tho, i would love to see one.

i know where your going with the exhaust. it will be the only one with it........
one word.....Zoomies

ok... just put a strut bar on and right away noticed a huge difference. i also found that the Anti-lock brakes work great. as soon as i put the strut bar on, had to test drive. was testing the freeway offramps around my place where you exit to an almost full 360. let me tell you, going 85 into a 10mph turn, scary, yet fun sh*t. there was almost no body roll and the car just kinda shuttered a little, nothing too bad. after it was done, it seemed like i could have even went faster.

now i have to get the rear sway bar. anyone know of a cheap place to get the rear, Eibach sway bar for cheap?
