OK so my SS is down. Check it out.
lol but i think you guys should first wait on what the insurance says, cause with my girls car, the car was 100 bucks from being totaled, so basically theres still a good chance depending on the insurance company that it will get fixed
**** that i would have bashed out the windshield
hmm... Dibs on non-aftermarket parts.....namely power window motors
Glad to hear your okay. These cars seem to be pretty damn good at absorbing all the damage so the driver doesn't have to.

100% guaranteed it's totaled. Now the hard part will be fighting to get a decent amount from the insurance. Hopefully the drunk idiot was heavily insured. If he's covered you shouldn't have a hard time, but since it was an older truck I hope he doesn't just have the state minimum (or worse, not have any insurance). On top of the car loss the medical bills since you were hospitalized, even for a short time, will be pretty steep. If you haven't read your own insurance policy, it might be time to pull it out and carefully read every single letter of the fine print on what they will and won't cover, especially since you had a passenger that was injured. There's a great thread with a lot of insurance info here that covers some of the issues when medical gets involved.
In the end that doesn't really matter. It's just a car and you both made it out alive. Sorry to hear about your car but glad you're both reasonably okay.

Its fixable believe it or not I have a friend that works in a body shop that just fixed a Cobalt with similar or worse damage. He told me about it earlier tonight at work. Sounded like he pretty much cut off the frame from the firewall forward, replaced the fenders and installed a new engine etc. Now I wish I had asked how much the bill ended up being after all the repair was completed.
