You guys are totally cracking me up with all the ridiculous explanations. How about this, since you're on a computer to be on the forum do a google or other search and come up with some correct info. Like this:

CALIFORNIA CODES
VEHICLE CODE
SECTION 28150

28150. (a) No vehicle shall be equipped with any device that is
designed for, or is capable of, jamming, scrambling, neutralizing,
disabling, or otherwise interfering with radar, laser, or any other
electronic device used by a law enforcement agency to measure the
speed of moving objects.
(b) No person shall use, buy, possess, manufacture, sell, or
otherwise distribute any device that is designed for jamming,
scrambling, neutralizing, disabling, or otherwise interfering with
radar, laser, or any other electronic device used by a law
enforcement agency to measure the speed of moving objects.
(c) Except as provided in subdivision (d), a violation of
subdivision (a) or (b) is an infraction.
(d) When a person possesses four or more devices in violation of
subdivision (b), the person is guilty of a misdemeanor.
(e) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a person who has a
valid federal license for operating the devices described in this
section may transport one or more of those devices if the license is
carried in the vehicle transporting the device at all times when the
device is being transported.

I am Radar and Laser certified. I do not have to stand in the open or anywhere else. I just have to catch the violator committing the violation.

Some of you are very entertaining. I suggest that no matter what state you live in you should be familiar with the rules of the road and vehicle code for that state.

While I'm on my soap box let me add a couple things. The goal of most DMV's is safe and efficient flow of traffic. Regardless of specific laws, I submit to you that if what you're doing at any specific moment while your driving is not contributing to safe and efficient flow of traffic you are probably violating a law. And besides, your just being a dangerous bone head.

Get your **** together and become part of the solution, not part of the problem.

Radar does not have to be stationary last time I checked they can get you while they are driving by laser on the other hand has to be shot while standing still that why the cop got me going 98 last night while he was cruising down the street

More and more Ive been seeing the officers standing outside in front of, or next to their rides with the radar gun just out in plain sight. Then you see them haul ass and get back in the car and go after people.
