Shift-s3ctor airstrip attack
I'm already signed up. You guys should come too.
Airstrip Attack: November 10th and 11th
What: ˝ Mile Side by Side Racing Event.
When: November 10th and 11th. Gates open at 7AM. Mandatory drivers meeting at 8:30AM.
Where: The New Coalinga Municipal Airport. 27500 West Phelps. Coalinga, CA.
Shift-S3ctor is proud to announce that our next Airstrip Attack is a 2 day event, November 10th and 11th at the New Coalinga Municipal Airport in Central California (3 hours north of LA, 2 hours south of the Bay area). This will be a 1/2 mile, side by side racing event. Registration opens on September 10th at 10:00 a.m., Pacific Standard Time. We are limiting this event to 100 cars per day and expect to sell out quickly. Once we are full, registration will close and we will begin a wait list.
The Breakdown:
Saturday, November 10th
On Saturday, we will have 2 run groups; a higher HP run group and a lower HP run group. Throughout the day will be open runs; run whoever you want. If desired, an individual can run someone from the other horsepower group, but for the most part your competition will be amongst the cars in your designated group. We can move cars up and down accordingly. At the end of the day on Saturday, we will have a shootout for each run group where winners will be receiving trophies. Following the Unlimited Shootout will be the Tuner Shootout for trophies as well. Each tuner sponsor will elect one of their cars to participate and winners will receive trophies.
Sunday, November 11th
On Sunday, we will have open runs all day again, but at the end of the day we will have our first Airstrip Marquee Shootout. The 3 marquee categories are: American Muscle Cars, European Cars (including exotics), and JDM Cars. This shootout will determine the fastest American car, the fastest European car, and the fastest Japanese car. The winner of each marquee will receive a trophy as well.
Who Can Come:
The event is open to all types of cars and all horsepower levels. However, it is a PRIVATE EVENT NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Each registered driver may bring up to 3 guests/crew. Each sponsored shop may bring up to 10 guests/crew. All others who wish to spectate much purchase spectator tickets available here on our website. We are only selling a limited number per day in order to meet our capacity requirements. If you are not a registered driver, a guest of a registered driver, or have secured a spectator spot, YOU WILL NOT BE LET IN THE GATE.
If you are interested in sponsoring this event, we offer participating sponsor packages for shops that want to race customer/shop cars, as well as non participating sponsors. Sponsor inquiries can be sent to jason@shift-s3ctor.com.
Media teams who wish to cover the event with regard to filming and photography, please contact Ryan (Ryan@Shift-S3ctor.com). Media must be on our guest list as well to gain access to Airstrip Attack.
*Each driver registration includes one Airstrip Attack T-shirt to be picked up at registration the day of the event.
Pre-Registration:
We will be having a “pre-registration” from 8pm to 10 pm on Friday night at the “SoCal” Hotel location. (See below for lodging). If you are staying at the hotel, it is best to register the night before to get checked in with us. Therefore, you can bypass registration the following morning at the event.
What to bring:
All you need to bring is a helmet (Snell 2000+) and a completely filled out and signed waiver/self tech form
Mandatory Waiver and Self Tech Form:
In order to check-in, you must show up to registration (or pre-registration) the day of the event with your filled out waiver and tech form. It can be found here: Waiver and Self Tech form (Click here)
Hotel and Lodging:
We have reserved discounts at two hotels in the area. The “Socal” location is about 30 minutes south of the Airport and the “Norcal” location is about 30 minutes north of the Airport. Most cars will be at the Socal location.
Socal Location:
We booked 50 rooms at the Best Western in Kettleman City. They’re already filling up. Mention Shift-S3ctor for a discounted rate. We will be hiring private overnight security to watch the vehicles at this location as most cars will be staying at this location.

10 spectator fee
each person that is signed up can bring up to 3 people with them for free. I think 2 of my buddies will be coming along with me. I got a hotel room at the kettleman for Friday nov 9th.

Well, tomorrow is the day. I'm getting ready to leave LA in the next few hours. Gonna be at the hotel tonight so I don't have to wake up at 4am and drive in the morning. I hope to see you guys as some spectators! See you guys.
