shop/person

does anyone know of a person or shop that can tell me for sure what the problem is with my car. im throwing a P0171 and the dealership doesnt know for sure but want me to spend 1k to fix what they think (are not sure) the problem is. this way i dont blow more money and can prbly even avoid them all together.

More info. Like what kind of car and if it's modified.

P0171 is a lean code, it could be as simple as a vacuum leak.

here is a hint that only cost 5 dollars and MAY help


go to autozone and get a bottle of carb cleaner, spray it on various parts that have seals or and joint together on the intake side

ex: injector seals, intake manifold, intake, or anything with a seal


if the engine idles different than normal you might of found your leak

True, because if you have a leak it will pull in the carb cleaner which will change how the engine sounds.

yep it will cause the short term and long term fuel trim to adjust for the extra "fuel" being added

i have the factory tune and i alrdy cleaned the MAF and notin light is still on well its been on since sept.....if so how have you guys fixed this problem?the dealership is telling me i have to buy a whole new stage kit

if ur throwing a code. then they should fix it,

hit up rissa. she has a custom tune and her dealer fixed it with warranty.

how long have u had it? if the dealership installed the stg 2 kit than it is covered for 3/36,000 from i9nstall date

man i hope so cuz they are sticking to it that its not covered and budge the worst part is thats what they THINK is the problem so im just guessing they have no idea

man take all the time you need....just put a phone # on there so they can call cuz i know they are guna say its fake and not believe it (they didnt even believe GM made a stage 2 for my car)
