So Cal SRT-4 owners look here

My bf just got an '03 NSRT-4, he needed a daily driver so he saw it, it was cheap, and he bought it. Except unfortunately the dealer where he got it didn't know jack **** about it. I'll try to post some pics so that maybe you can shed some light on what this car has. I have a feeling it's stage 2, and there are some weird lil switches under the radio and stuff, again I'll post pics. My question is, would any of you be kind enough to either go to the March meet where he'll bring the car so you can check it out, or maybe we can get together and take a look at it, I'll compensate you somehow, maybe lunch at Fridays lol ehhh eehh??

IIRC i believe the switches under the radio may be for the 6 disc CD changer. so it may have the sun and sound package, with a sub woofer and 6 disc changer.

Ooo my bad I didn't mean like right under the stereo it's under that whole thing, and they were definitely put in some time after, for example one of the switches is red I believe and it says 100oct which I can only assume means 100 octane. I'll have to take pictures tonight or tomorrow of it.

From my memory, switches under the radio have nothing to do with the sound system. They go along with Stage 2 as well as 3R...it is the "toys" package. I forget what exactly they were for, but it went along with changing settings and such within Stage 2. If wanted I can ask an old co-worker that had all of this on his. Also here is a link showing everything included in Stage 2...see if the switches pictured are similar to the ones in the car....http://www.wyckoffchryslerparts.com/20srstiituup.html

ok, then you do have the toys option on the car....it includes the blue switch to control sprayers into the intercooler, the red switch engages high octane mode...work with 100 octane unleaded fuel or higher I believe...cant remember what else was part of it

Very nice....if you have any questions feel free to PM me and I can more than likely get answers to any question you may have about the car. I used to work at a Dodge dealership and the one guy there had one running 11.8s so they know their stuff.

Yeah tell him to bring it on the 22nd and I'll take a look at it. Yeah sounds like he has s2 with toys. Yeah the 100 oct or HIGHER( say that cus it depends on the car, my old NSRT wouldnt hold HOM with nothing less than 110) button is High Octane Mode. HOM is BAD ASS!!!! But yeah I 'll take a look and see what else he's got.

Stage two with toys.

IC sprayer is teh dumbsos, but NLS is the kickasssos.

100 octane mode with a catless downpipe makes decent power...BUT the stock downpipe is bolted on COLD with NO gasket.

So if he gets an aftermarket DP, make sure he gets a gasket for his stocker if he puts it back on, and one for the aftermarket one.

Stage two with toys in 100 octane mode, and NO other mods, puts down less than a tuned TC.

But the peon is lighter...and like an epic FWD drag car apparently

Umm it threw a CEL already, so it needs to be looked at, I don't think the person who had it before took the BEST care of it, it could be worse though, that's why we need someone who knows these cars well to take a look at it.
