SoCal - Southbay area shop reccomendations?
Might have a cv going bad, and i also just want the car to be looked over by someone other than myself before this season starts up.
What shops do you guys recommend that do a good job and wont overcharge to give a thorough inspection and checkout on a car?

Man i deliver parts all over l.a. county but I havent found a actual performance shop. The only shop I would trust would be Pacific tire motorsport. I got my tires and alignment done. I've delivered a couple abs units and a couple of trannys(sk2 and hyundai). They are in redondo beach yelp them up and ask for armando. If you do twll him franky from apple auto referred you to them.
Not sure if you ever found someone to work on your car but if you didn't you should give Ron at Prestige Auto call.
He's an old timer who has done lots of racing and is mainly a Chevy guy even though he will work on just about anything. He has a small shop but it has all kinds of cool toys. Completely honest straight up guy. I do most of my own work but hes a great go to guy when I'm in a pinch. He's always willing to put the car up on the rack and let me look over things with him.

Forgot about this, honestly. I wound up hooking up with Bothwell Automotive. Todd and Gil used to do ecotec drag cars, and were up front and honest with me, and even helped cover my rental when my transmission work took longer than he quoted due to an error on their side in ordering parts. I think they may become my new goto for the stuff that I just dont have the time or thats too big (like the transmission rebuild).
