ok so this should be a no brainer now that i demonstrate why tahoe is the PERFECT place for the west coast cobalt meet.

i understand that the middle of the west coast is right up around the oregon / california border. but being that there are a ton of balts from so cal and not as many from northern washington i think its only fair if we move the meet down a little more south. now even if its not tahoe, but reno insted, i think that would be the perfect location.

wat ya think?

ok, Tahoe sounds like a deal to me and now how about Nov 10-11(Sat & Sun 2nd week), before Thanksgiving but not too close. Will this give everyone enough time to prepare and get there cars ready? It's only 3 1/2 months from now. Is there any one near Tahoe to look into Hotels, locations for pics and meeting/grub areas, cruises and entertainment or anything else that may be needed?

So who is all in for this meet so far, from what we have?

Joshboy, did you get anything while you were in Tahoe?

If its in November, I'll be back on the East Coast. I'd also not like to drive through any snow with the 20's. I think it'll be a blast and I might have to stay a little later, than the 26th of Oct.

I say we go as soon as snow starts to fall. Tahoe usually gets it pretty early in the year.

Sierra snow is unique. It falls in great quantities in relatively short periods from late November to early April, on a ratio of one day of snowfall for every four days of sunshine. The average winter snowpack is 225 inches, or nearly 20 feet, approximately four times the average in Fairbanks, Alaska. Even the crystalline structure of Sierra Snow is rare. It is said to be unusually reflective and capable of withstanding high winter air temperatures to retain its fluffy perfection on the ski slopes. This reflective quality, coupled with the clarity of the Sierra air can be very dangerous to unwary skiers and sunbathers since the sun's intensity is nearly four times that of the brightest day at sea level.

I vote for Tahoe. That place kicks ass.
Dont care when.
Its about 13hr drive from Seattle (~800miles) and 8hr from LA (~500miles) to Tahoe.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't want to be driving on icy/snowy roads in my Cobalt. Especially since winter tires are non-exhistant here in the Phoenix-metro area.

I will be in Newport this weekend though. Magic Mountain on Monday
