Yeah i'm still waiting on some parts that is almost everything that is done but not quite all, just got tired of typing....lol My tranny should be back in a month or 2 from TRE. They had to custom make some parts for it to be able to hold that amout of power...If i dont hit 600 with a built motor and that big of a turbo then i'm gonna have to use a little NOS power =) ....But I will post the results whenever I get home from Iraq and have it dynoed

OMFG! 600 whp?! Why would even want that much power in a FWD? That sounds impossible to control.

well when you have the car built you just dont jump in there and push out 600. you build up to it. Makes it a little easier to control. Also you buy really good suspension, tires, ect...
I droped down to a 16 on the front for drag radials

Well i thought that parts alone would have cost WAY more than that. Big turbos arent cheap and all the turbo tubing, FMIC, etc. is all money. If you really did build a car with THAT much HP for under $3k then more power to you.

i got the turbo kit for free. its an 1800 kit brand new + shipping.

the turbo was on a car a dealer had and he asked if i could take it off and tur his back to stock turbo setup and my payment could be i get to keep the big turbo kit and what everelse i wanted on the car.

intercooler i bought used from a friend for 250 (has small dent on the bottom).....retail is 800

but in all honesty its not that expensive to make power in a srt. just depends on how you do it and where your getting your parts from.

the real cost will come when i build the motor it will be 5 gs for the block and about 2 gs for the head w/ out the canms and valve train.so yeah i havent even began to mod yet. considering once the bottom end is built i will be running dp n2o and a larger turbo 30r or a 35r. but all this wont be until end of 2010 -mid 2011

well i have a fully built motor, nothing in the motor is stock 10,300 for built motor, 3000 for a built tranny, 1000 for axles, 1500 for hahns port fuler complete set up, 1500 for turbo, 1000 for vulcan turbo manifold...that right there is 18,300.00 not including stage 5 clutch, flywheel 3'' exhaust, wastegate,bov,inercooler,plumbing....people think that making a cobalt fast and when i say fast i mean over 500WHP isn't cheap!!!!!

Building 500 whp is NEVER cheap. That is unless you have a car like mine...lol.
Forced induction kits are all around $7k for the nice kits new. Call it $10k for fuel delivery, tune, and associated misc. stuff. Running about 10 psi will make 500 whp. No problem.

well i'm at ft. dix n.j i was deploying to iraq, but got hurt so i'm stuck here for a while and i dont know how long TRE will have my tranny. It really depends on how long it takes them to make the parts that are needed for the tranny, and for me to get all the little bull$hit done....oil lines....ect
