FS: Intel Core 2 Extreme Quad Core QX6850 Processor NIB!
Up for sale is a brand new in factory box Intel Core 2 Extreme Quad Core QX6850 Processor! I had bought this to build a sweet gaming rig, but I am now choosing not to finish that project. This is one of the top of the line Intel CPU's, basically raping all things AMD. This processor is *extremely* overclockable being the Extreme series...
Retail price for CPU on Newegg.com for example is $1019.99 shipped. (What I paid, and what it still is...) Amazon still sells it for $1204.95...
I am offering to part with it for $850 shipped... I may also entertain partial trades for parts if you have something interesting... Payment could be made in person with cash, or you can send money order, or PayPal is always the best for both the buyer and seller (you pay any PayPal fees).
Quick Specs
Model: QX6850
Clock Speed: 3.0 GHz
Cache: 8 MB L2
Front Side Bus: 1333 MHz
Here is the Newegg page with all the specs and reviews. The reviews speak for themselves!

Here is the Intel pages on the Core 2 Extreme processors.

Any questions, ask away in this thread of PM me. No lowballing please as it is against site rules...

its the older quad, unfortunately your going to take a big hit on it, shoulda just finished your pc lol.
Theres 3ghz quad cores with 12mb cache and use half the watts going for around $400. Yours only has 8mb cache, the reason they are labled extreme is becauseof the unlocked multiplyer, but there is a very limited group of people who will spend that much on just a chip, and when they do, its usually the newer generation quads.
Very nice chip though, goodluck with the sale

^^ Newegg sells a colossal ass ton of LGA775 mobo's that would work great with a chip like this. Most are around $100 or less. I picked up a really nice Gigabyte mobo for about $120 this is extremely overclockable for my last build... If you are potentially interested, PM me...
