It's all good man, i am actually sincerely thanking you. I wan't to make a trip up to NY as soon as you get fully moved in and i am re-situated on the east coast. You can see my suspension goodies, and i can see the legendary LSJ.

that sounds like a plan to me man. You'll get to ride in two wicked cars by that time.
And I'm glad my sloth helped someone lol.

5x110 isn't retarded, GM always changes their bolt pattern of choice every so often. The wheel manufacturers are retarded for taking 5 years to catch up, and still slacking. Most GM small and mid-size cars are 5x110 now, and assuming GM continues to exist (eek), we'll be seeing 5x110 on those cars for years to come. Why do they do this? I have no idea. They shoulda just stuck with 5x115 (GM's weren't actually 5x114.3, that's the imports, but 5x114.3 wheels fit the x115 hubs) or even the 5x100 that preceded it, but thy change every 5-10 years for no reason that makes sense.

^true, and 114.3 is not entirely exclusive to imports, as Ford uses it on a lot of cars, including the mustang family. I agree, they should have stuck with 115, and it doesn't make sense why they flip flop it around.
This was also done for the added perfomance value of the additional modifications outside the lug pattern and lasger axles and hubs.

so the road to hell...etc...the conversion gives lots of options, the problem is the rear twisting beam is expensive to make

yup 4.5 Mustang thats the Enkei RF1 we used on all the Koni cars...and the reason we changed right away; never raced a single Cobalt with 5 x 110 in Grand Am. But stop whining the cadillac CTSV has 6 frickin lugs and we had to convert to Corvette bolt pattern it turned out to be easy, just put in Corvette wheel bearings, but then I had to get OZ wheels made; the Pratt and Miller OZ forged wheels for that car were 2500 each. My OZ wheels were 750 cast, each.

this topic of me being a moderator on here has been discussed to death in the past. i obviously didn't become a mod for my knowledge on the cobalt but do have experience in moderating.
