Can my turbo 2.4 use a strut bar? look at pic and c what u think.
Ahhhh dude thats such a good question I was thinking about that today cause I want to get one. But as you know I have a 2.2L and I'm waiting for tuning for mine and I want to upgrade my sway bars and add a strut bar....but I dunno if it will fit with that garrett kit.
easiest way to find out is to take a long 2x4 across the top. if it even touches to pipes it a no go. I'd say because the bar is so slim it might fix but there might be some rubbing.. in that case, I'd find something to wrap the pipe with so it doesn't strach it. I have the DC Strut bar and to me that would barely fit. if you have to you can buy spacers at the auto parts store and elevate the bar enough to clear the piping and maintain stability with the strut bar.
Ewwwwwww don't go near the fence.......
But I'm thinking if it fits its going to be a very tight squeeze. let us know what you find out. Haha Everything you've done so far with your balt I've been so interested in.....Wish I lived closer to Pittsburgh...Damn Delaware

check it with a large bungee strap. connect it to the studs, that will give you a really good idea of where the bar would go. you may not be able to get a mass produced one, but they are pretty simple to make, i'll have one fabed up if i ever get some free time to do it. If you can't do it yourself go to a hot rod shop, they could do it for you. it would probably even cost less than the others you can buy online.
one more thing I will say before you go ahead after you find out it does fit. DO NOT listen to the instructions, they say to torque it at like 20-30 lbs with a torque wrench (I forget), anyways if it says "XX" then torque it 2 lbs below spec because I snapped two strut bolts torquing the ****** to spec on the last lb.
Just get one and see, worst case senario you can sell it to someone local for the same price or find some one who wants one and tell him if it doesnt fit on yours you will sell it to him.
I think it'll be close... but its worth trying... they do make a huge difference.... if nothing else, maybe one of those thinner ones like MRZ sells may work better than a DC Sports style one. You could always look into getting one custom made... it won't be that expensive.
And no, it wasnt turbo'd, i was reffering to the strut bar.
I saw Halfcents 2.2L with the DC Strut bar, from the looks of it, it will clear according to the pictures you posted.
But im sure you can get one made, they are basic as hell.

i have grade 8 bolts welded to the top of my struts now, those aren't going anywhere.
