control arm bushings tool

Hi,
Can I remove and replace bushings in the lower control arms with a tool like
Amazon Amazon
I'm guessing yes?
Asking before I spend $100, maybe there is a cheaper and/or better tool?

You're going to fight to get the rear cabs out. I tired one and was not successful for the trailing cab, I ended up using a press to get it out and a new one pressed in. Iirc I used a 1.5" sch40 metal pipe coupler to press them out and in.

I used that tool borrowed from AutoZone to press them in. I was unsuccessful getting them out, so I cut them out. Need to be very careful not to cut the control arm when you do that, though.

That probably what I'm going to do if I can't find a shop to press them out and the new ones in

Have a shop do it. If you are off just a little it will remove alum material and the arm is junk unless you know someone who is good a tug welding. Trust me I did it.

There have been some that have gotten it done for $20-25. I used our big press at work and was installing Powell's mounts which are really stout. When I 1st started one of the cabs I got it just slightly crooked and as I pressed it in it removed just enough alum to make it move when I was wot. At the drag strip I noticed the car dart one way off the line. When I got home I noticed that the cab had started to work out of the arm. I had to get a new arm.

Everybody I called wanted like $100-150 to press each bushing.
Drove back to crateenginedepot and tom took care of me.
I have the new control arms with powell bushings installed and paid $150 for each control arm.
