does anyone make a direct bolt in strut/shock?

Ok so heres the deal, already got lowering springs, and im on stock shocks. I know that koni makes them however you have to hacksaw your stock ones in the front, they are inserts not a full kit. Does anyone make something you just bolt on?

Cefaln452 01-01-2010 07:34 PM

im pretty sure they dont... other than factory replacements

TCguy 01-01-2010 07:38 PM

Yeah exactly how do these work? ive been reading that you need to "modify" these.

Cefaln452 01-01-2010 07:41 PM

oh kyb makes a oem replacement... supposed to be better than oem

Rippin07 01-01-2010 07:42 PM

The changeover to the Koni's is really quite simple if your worried about the install.

ls1fbody 01-01-2010 07:43 PM

TC shocks are best.

constantproject 01-01-2010 07:44 PM

coilovers?

Rodimus_Prime 01-02-2010 08:51 AM

The rear konis bolt in, the fronts you basically hacksaw the top half off then drill a hole in the bottom and the konis are a "insert"

Yep, they produce the OEM stuff.

Maven 01-02-2010 04:00 PM

Actually IIRC KYB makes the fronts and Sachs makes the rears ;)

Zombie Threading but I searched before I asked.

Ok Sorry if I dug this thread up from Godknowshowlongago B.C.
But I found Sachs struts on my car in the back and I dont know if they
are stock or not. I did a sight search before I posted. But Couldn't find anything
definitive.

Mine too, but I baught my car used, and it had some mods done to it before.
Are the Sachs' ones stock?? Or are they aftermarket?
If they are another mod (Mine look newer then the car)
Then how and in what way are they better then Stock??

Stiner 04-07-2010 05:56 PM

Sachs are the stock rear shocks. If they are newer they either replaced them with SS/SC rear shocks or upgraded to SS/TC rear shocks.
