eibach question?

i went to a shop to see how much they would install eibach's for and they quoted me a lil too much but they also said they will not work on used eibach sportline's or anything used. They told me that the springs were already broken into the "cobalt ss/sc" it was on before and shouldn't be installed on mine since something can go wrong...now i was wondering, to anyone who did buy used eibach's and got them installed, was there any real problems?

there might be a problem because of wear and tear, the springs could have settled down with either a stronger or weaker rate at which your car would subject them too and it might cause premature stress.

Not possitive but it would make sense to me.
