FE5 Suspension
 
Will switching to the FE5 struts and shocks help out my suspension when i lower my balt... are the struts/shocks "lowered" compaired to the FE1 struts. My car has 50k so its about time anyway but i dont know if i want to spend the 600 for the Koni's

yes however w/o the knuckles, sway bars and such you wont have all the dimensions of the fe5

If your going with lowering springs, do not go with stock ss/sc setup. UNLESS you plan on a pro-kit spring then stock ss/sc struts and such will be fine. Other wise spend the money once and get koni's and not buy the ss parts and have them fail down the road as the drop was too harsh. I believe with sportline springs and stock 2.2 setup you can go for awhile. Jeff (Hackabuse) has gone 40k miles with stock stuff.

I second some of the others here. Get some aftermarkets such as Eibach Sportlines. I have no personal experience with them, but alot of people on this forum say there great and for around 140 bucks, not bad. So use those and oem style struts
