Loose feeling when turning wheel.
 

So recently I been having a weird loose feeling when making low speed left turns. I believe it's tie rods so I ordered inners and outers, along with new ball joints. All Moog problem solver parts. Now my other problem is I can't turn the wheel in either direction when sitting still. I thought power steering allowed me to do this, but maybe I'm wrong. The noise sounds like a squeaky/almost breaking sound. I'm ordering new OEM struts to go with my replacement eibachs. You guys have any clue what this may be?

The no-assist when sitting still happens on these cars, you can replace the steering motor but it will happen again. Usually once you move the car the first time it activates and stays on until you turn the key off, but if you try to turn the car before it rolls when you restart, it may have no power assist.

You already bought the parts, so change them. It could be a ball joint or strut mount noise, it could also be something as simple as a sway bar endlink, they sound horrible when failing and are cheap/easy to replace.

So I got my new tired mounted today and noticed the tie rod nut was spinning freely. I tightened it back up by hand. I'm not yet mech inclined and I plan on getting an alignment but does that nut need to be torqued? Or is it ok to be tightened by hand?

It should be tight so the adjustment can't change, no crazy torque, I believe it's in the 30 ft/lb range but it's nothing special. If you're taking it for an alignment they will tighten it down after they adjust it.
