lowering springs ?

lowering springs ?

would lowering springs effect the way the shocks work? i mean, do our shock have a linear stroke? i woant to lower my cobalt a little but dont want to spend a whole lot on coilovers. any suggestions?

if you get springs, it increases stress on the struts or so ive read,

As far has your shocks it will only compress the shocks at a neutral position and could cause increase stress on the struts but majority of springs for the cobalt aren't that bad of a drop so you shouldn't have to worry about your struts going bad anytime soon.

r these springs any stiffer than the stock SS ones?

they have to be stiffer since your decreasing the overall height

Yes I have the Progress rear bar, you dont need a front one because the ss/sc stock one is the same size as the biggest aftermarket one so itd be pointless to swap out. The rear helps tighten the back end of the car up ALOT

Yea thats one of my next things I need to get. Not to hijack the thread but how is that progress? I got the progress springs so I figured I would go ahead and get the progress rear bar.
