Moar Low
Hey guys I want to lower the car more but don't have the cash for it since im on a college budget. I have sportlines on now. What are the pros and cons of cutting the stock springs and putting them back on the car?? just tryin to see if it would be worth it or not lol

ok yea like i said im on college budget so im just trying to get an idea on what to do. i want to be really low and sportlines don't do it for me anymore ive been on sportlines for nearly 4 years
the Strut setup is tough to cut springs and make sure it will work ok. the older style with the shock in the middle of the spring with the spring between the control arms is much easier. the biggest issue is the spring seats on the top and bottom. they are designed to be in a certain spot. also when your suspension unloads, the spring could shift if it is too short.
i wouldnt suggest it, H&R Sports wold be your next safest step

DO NOT DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just keep your sportlines

I have been riding on cut springs since November of last year(about 9k miles), before that I was on TenzoR's for 45k miles, never cut bumpstops and never had a problem, because of where they are cut the passenger side occasionally makes a popping/heavy clicking noise but the top of the spring is not able to seat correctly and you can see where it pops in and out of place. It only does it when the spring is fully extended(my driveway) but when load is applied back to it it pops back where it needs to be.
Bad idea.
Rides like absolute ****, will perform like total utter ****, and completely unsafe as ****.
But I guess do what you want if you need "moar low".. Resorting to this I'm guessing you're fairly desperate. Good luck.
