mushy brake pedal
Hi,
I have a 2010 Cobalt SS Turbo with just over 100K KM, and I just had the brakes done. I was hoping it would improve the brakes, but the pedal is still mushy. I pretty much have to almost floor it for good stops.
I had the front and rear rotors, and pads replaced. Also had one of rear calipers replaced. According to the invoice, they did bleed the brakes.
The only reason I really noticed, I just bought a 2017 Camaro SS with the 1LE package, so the brakes are incredible on that car. When I first got it I almost stopped right in the middle of the road when I just wanted to slow down a little bit.

could be a couple things, first I would suspect they did not fully bleed the brakes. could still be air trapped in the bpmv. second pad construction can cause a squishy pedal but itl only be toward the top of travel and should firm up at about 30-40% pedal apply. Usually only happens on cheaper pads. third you may have a problem with your brake booster or master cylinder.
