if you want a nice even look with stances....take out rear bottom rubber pad and just have rear perches and one locking ring on perches

And this one too...

The GR+'s ride pretty good actually. The install instructions are vague as all hell and I'm guessing because of that 99.99% of the people installing them are making the same mistakes and causing the ride to be bouncy and harsh. So I got sick of it so I called Stance customer service. And they really hooked me up with a ton of info they don't (but should) tell you. And I can honestly say with my car slammed as low as it is now it rides really, really smooth. Only a very slight difference in ride bounce and stiffness over stock.

I don't know anything about
K-Sport, Pedders, Megans or any other brand. But from what I know about my time with Stances they ride as close in quality to stock smoothness a full drop. As for track use, I can't say...but for daily driver use the GR+'s are amazing.

Sick drop there Jookycola. I'd like to know more about how you set up your coilovers. I probably won't go so low though. I know waaay too many areas that already scrape the front bumper now, and my car is still stock! lol. How does it fair on speed bumps n such? Did you roll your fenders?

As far as ride quality. I have a serious note to share. The installation instructions don't tell you the right way to install the rear springs/shocks.

> set the springs into the lowering level you want.

> Put the springs in first

> Do not install the bump stop

> Then use a jack to pump up the hub to just where the spring is perched....but NOT compressed. (you can get away with just a hair)

> Next install the shock at only the length it takes to keep the spring in this perched, but not compressed position. (the shock doesn't determine the stance the spring adjustment does, so you don't need the shock to be rolled all the way down or up. The adjustment on the shock is only to help the shock fit the space)

> put the tire back on and enjoy the night and day difference in ride quality. The car now rides almost as smooth as stock. Very little hop, bounce or harshness. It's stiffer but not unbearable like it was before.
I think the mistake is we mess with the shock length thinking it helps to lower the car more. all it really does is make the car ride like ass. The ride is night and day different than it was out of the box. My girlfriend actually likes the car lowered now because it glides like stock again with just a very, very faint bounce. I hope this helps some folks who are complaining about the ride quality. And thanks to Stance Customer Service for helping me out and making their product shine it should now.

Everything is ratcheted down as far down as they go. And I removed one ring each from each coil over.
> The front strut dampers are set at 4 or 5 clicks from full stiff. The rear shock damper is set 4 clicks from full stiff.
> Speed Bumps, steep driveways, dips, rail road crossings...you have to slowwww way down and crawl over them (usually on an angle). Sadly low is a lifestyle, so you would have to change your driving habits a little to enjoy the look.
> I not only rolled my fenders, but had to do a slight pull on them too because the backspacing on my rims asked for it in order to get the little bit of tuck I got.

thanks guys, let me know if you get them and need any more info.

If the shock is raised higher though, won't it make it more prone to bottom out the shock?

Nope, but that's EXACTLY what I thought too. the car rides amazing. the length of the shock means nothing in how low the car sits. The adjustment is on there just to adjust the shock to fit the spring height. Trust me. I've done it the wrong way and drove in a bounce house for most of the summer. The car rode like I cut the springs. Now following the tip i posted, the car rides almost like stock.

u compress the shock or raise it to compensate the spring size, by barely compressing the springs by raising the axle, u then shorten the shocks but they will still have travel when the car is on the ground

so when your car jumps(hit a bump) the axle will follow instead of making u think your springs fell out.

im bad at explaining things if u get lost, restart and try again

No, that wasn't too bad at all.

So doing this preload thing will actually help with my bottoming out the shock problem? What if the spring is too short and the shock is still to long to be adjusted that far, (trying to run a stance spring with a BC shock)

I can't comment on that, I'm running all Stance and it's awesome. it only bottoms out on huge pot holes

BC's with rear lock rings removed. Front can still go down at least 3/4 of an inch. Rides so much better than my old B&G drop springs.

I still think I need to post up with my pedders fully dropped soon. No one seems to wanna fully drop theirs on pedders. Hell, I had a **** ton of adjustment left where mine was sitting and it sat just as low as the cars posted here on pedders.

well, the frame would be sitting on the ground and the rear tire would be flush if that helps.

I thinking about coilovers. What offers the most comfort for DD? I'm also considering BC Coils. I'm currently on Pedder lowering springs? Comfort is more important to me than look

How do you like your pedders coil overs? I am seriously contemplating buying a coil over set today if i can make a decision. I would consider the ARK coilovers, but i haven't been overly impressed by their lowering springs i have on. I know most springs for our cars coil bind, but they compared theirs to pedders when i bought em.

I would also like to hear feedback from someone with the B&G's, i know guys with SRT's that have em and love em.
