the improper alignment of the axles is the main cause of wheel hop and broken axles on the lnf's

the lnf trans mounts were designed with an automatic transmission in the test car. that causes the axles to not line up properly on the manual transmission cars. the rotated mounts "rotate" the transmission so that the axles line up properly with the manual transmission.

Actually, it all started with the LSJ and Time Attack SS/SC.

Rotated mounts were developed by me In 2004 on race Cobalts GM contracted us to build. The rest are copies. Not sure if ZZP mounts are rotated or not.
2005 cobalts were laid out with auto trans, not the LNF. So the F35/F23 manual trans is the issue; the output shafts are not aligned with the knuckle axle center line. Well documented here. GM figured that stiffer mounts and engine management control of the engine would be an economical way of dealing with it on the LNF, just wasnt a perfect solution.
My stage 1 genuine Powell all steel hardcore rotated mounts sell for 110 dollars. We may have a run of stage 1 v.1 mounts off original OEM cores available May 1 at 90 dollars shipped...contact gloria@powellraceshop.com May 1.

Mark Reuss is about the only upper level guy you can have confidence in there, and he is only one guy a decent dolphin swimming in a fishbowl of guppy bait.
Manual shift cars are about 5-8% of sales, a little higher manual in Canada than USA, BUT Canada as a market is a pinprick on the a****e of progress we are so small as a market. No one cares.
I can tell you, as good as the SS series of Cobalts are, and John Heinricy and Mark Reuss are directly responsible for this goodness, there must be a ton of execs at GM high fiving each other, over the Cruze that none of us want; coz the warranty costs for us car nuts destroying their Delta cars under warranty over 5 years now, must be costing them a fortune...

Stage2 is for both. I don't remember what I paid, been since last July. Email John or Gloria, they can tell you. He may not be still following this topic. gloria@powellraceshop.com
