Thank you for the quick response. I will email gloria on monday.

There is a mount in the fron and in the back, on the bottom side of the motor, right? And then the motor mounts up top.

The Powell rotated mounts replace the lower front mount and add an aluminum keyhole space to the lower rear mount. The top mount is not modified at all.

Here's my how-to in case anyone is interested: http://www.5280cobalts.com/modules.p...ewtopic&t=1513

john, just a little curious, you said installing LNF lower control arms in a LSJ were difficult, why is that??

I thought they were interchangeable? what am I missing?

thanks

The lnf arms have a slightly larger ball joint stud. You need to open up the knuckle a little.

^^^^this. The ball joint stud is 1 mm larger on the LNF. Thats .5 a side basically if you want to look at it like that. Insert a large chisel in the slot in the knuckle for that purpose, a good wack and you are done. DO NOT use an air chisel unless you are proficient, you can break the knuckle in an instant. It has good malleability but it will fracture not bend beyond a certain point.

PS the spherical cab center sleeve is slightly shorter than stock. The ears of the cradle compress no problem. carry on....

Following Johns advice to drop the cradle, I now have only the 21mm bolts holding it still attached.

The rear bolts for the cradle are the same as the rear control arm bolts?

If so now is it safe to force out the rear control arm bolts without damaging the captive nut?

Thanks

To help anyone else, once all the bolts except the 4 21mm bolts are out you can evenly loosen all 4 bolts and the captive nuts are saved as the cradle slowly lowers.

air hammer method is the best way, easiest way but almost the most dangerous way. ive had 2 cars now where chisels wont even phase the control arms. john is right though if you dont have a clue do not attempt this method as you run the disk of a damaged control arm.

One day this summer I am going to take a road trip to Canada and we are going to install your spherical CABs. Calling post office tomorrow to get a renewed passport.

If you have a GT you should have alloy control arms. The biggest issue will be removing the arms; I am finding 2010 'balts with seized bushings. It is a lot of work. The latest way I figured out to unseize the sleeve, is to channel compressed air over the rubber insert constantly while directing a MAP gas flame directly at the bolt head. It worked on a 2010, not sure if it would work on a really difficult hard seized insert.

Also I now use a Moly disulphide anti seize ( Lloyds) on the new bolts and nuts, and grease on the cab eye( they are shipped coated)

Of course, you could always make the trip from "wooooooodddddbrrrrriiiiiiddddggggeeee" to me, and have me do it, but frankly I prefer that folks struggle with it themselves. The last person locally did that, I got the car anyway and had to replace the cradle it was so badly damaged by poor guys failed attempts (lol) I am now out of cradles to exchange unless I repair this one . cheers

ps I bought a mini sawzall on sale at CTC to cut it out and ran through 6 blades.

My 09 didn't have any issues besides me over torquing bolts...

Looking for sometime in July to get that F23 LSD built, don't know if you want a down payment to get things rolling or what, I've got to get a new Clutch and swap the trans while there so hopefully can be done in one full day, just what I'm saying sounds expensive though, maybe August.

This poor local is eternally grateful! Thank you John.
What a bitch that was!
I must buy some parts from you soon. Hardcore bar.

Yes, I now know that yearly under coating is a must up here. Not just once.
