rear shock bolt. bolt was spinning bushing inside the rear shock.

so after looking at my new YYZ's sitting in my living room for the last 2-3 months,i finally got around to install them! well i figured it would be a easy peasy job. well it was but i ran into a little bit of trouble.

we started with the rear since it seemed like it would be easiest. well we got the rear end up in the air, the left rear shock came out without a problem. but the right rear shock was the one that was giving me a little bit of trouble. the bolt that connects the bottom of the shock to the rear dead axel was spinning the bushing and i ended up pulling the bushing out of the bottom of the shock. well i basically tore the bushing and now i need a new shock and a bolt that connects the bottom of the shock to the rear dead axel.

does anyone have a part number for the bolt? and should i just buy a new shock or but 2 new rear shocks since im already replacing one?

sorry its kinda confusing haha

I know this was brought up on here long ago but I don't remember the result. You could always take the other side bolt and match it up if there's a place local to you that carries good sized metric hardware. Otherwise, dealer can look it up.

If you are replacing one shock, do both.

thats what i was thinking, taking the other side out and trying to match it up. i emailed tom @ CED, hes always good with this odd ball part # stuff.

i get a steal of a deal on parts, so ill just get 2 rear shocks and call it a day. stupid bushing, it clunks over every stupid little bump i hit.
