rear wheel has no wheel gap.

hey guys. so tonight when i was coming back from getting some refreshments from seven eleven i noticed my driver rear wheel well had no gap in it. i checked all the others were all fine, i figure its the shock starting to fail. oh the car is lowered on ssc canuck lowering springs with stock shocks still on. so i drove it home, double checked it and now its back to normal. now the outside temperature wasn't too cold maybe around 0*C. i just found it kinda of weird that it would go back to normal.

Has anyone else seen or know if it is the shock. either way monday morning i'm pricing out some new shocks at my work as if its doing this i really don't want it to happen again.

and for the record yes i searched the suspension forum here and couldn't find anything related to this particular issue.

were you parked on a bump or grade? stupid question, but we all make mistakes.

your shock wouldn't cause the car to settle, as its the spring that holds the car up, but its the shock that keeps the car from bouncing and helps keep control.

is your shock leaking at all?

haven't had a chance to put it up on the hoist. i will be doing that monday though and ya thats the first thing i checked as i was parked at a gas station so i checked to see if the tire was on something, even moved the car forward. i'll keep an eye on it. and ya i'm still learning about the whole suspension dynamics. i'll keep an eye on it today and see what happens.

Yeah, my driveway has a little break to it and when I park my front looks like I have lowering springs and the back looks all jacked up haha.
