Timken Wheel Bearing

So one of my front wheel bearings is toast. While I'm getting the FE5/Pedders kit I figured I might as well upgrade the wheel bearings. Are the Timken Wheel Bearings worth upgrading to over the stock ones? Are they a direct bolt-on?

I replaced both of mine with Timken...seems to be the most popular choice. And yes oem fit.

Theyt are a good deal contact Mongorat he has them, or buy ac delco from oempartsdepot.com Tom has good prices also. I run Timken, SKF and AC Delco never had a problem, but the rears wear out fast so for racing we use Solstice bearings at the rear, and I use Pontiac Grand Am bearings at the front...

Bought one to replace a front bearing. 1 year 5 months later, it's failing.
Has a warranty, so trying to warranty it. We'll see how that goes, but seems I'd have to pay for shipping both ways, and then that'd leave me with no wheel bearing until they get that one check it out, and then finally send me one back? If so... yeah, I"d say they're not worth the extra expense. To fail this soon, there were other, cheaper options, that still had a warranty of this length of time. Maybe I just got a dud. Heard they changed manufacturing to China though, so maybe there's a drop in quality? Don't know. Anyway, for my experience, it hasn't been worth it.

Last I heard, Timkin was being made in China too. so no reason to spend the money on it. When I asked Jeff about it, he pointed me to buy new wheel bearings on Ebay.

I used prime choice auto wheel hubs off eBay for my HHR SS. They have a Limited lifetime warranty but they deff had no issues replacing my 1st set when the tire shop destroyed the bearings in the front wheel hubs when they were putting my rims back guess they didn't know a impact gun isn't a torque wrench..

Anywho, long story short the 2nd set has been holding up for 2 years no issues! Not bad for $50 shipped for the pair and they even warrantied the replacement set. I deff recommend them, but they do need to be more careful with there shipping practices..other than that it's a great product!

Yeah, tried contacting Timken twice, via their web contact form, no response at all....
Luckily ZZP are going to warranty it, even though they said it's outside their warranty period. Not sure how long theirs is for this bearing, read on some sites life time warranty, 10 years, 3 years, but yeah, long ng story short, never again...
