what springs are seconf best toPedders?

Like every other base model owner I hate my stock suspension wheel gap, I've heard pedders are the best when it comes to ride quality but they don't offer much of a drop from the pics I've seen. So my question is what other springs offer a lower drop withought sacrificing too much ride quality? I'm not looking to go super low since the roads here in south texas go from pavement, to pavement with pot holes to dirt roads. This is my DD and I won't be doing any auto x or anything like that. Thanks in advance.

CM springs are good. The ride is way better then sportlines and its almost the same drop.

it all depends really waht struts your putting the springs on..... if your putting anything on the base model struts i cant say you will get good ride quality out of them. if your swapping for konis or fe5 struts pedders or ssc springs. people wine too much about the pedders. the drop seriously isnt that bad and i removed coilovers to put them in. heres my car on pedders

Eibach Pro-Kit springs. Reasonable drop, front and rear, good (very firm) ride, won't 'damage' the rest of the stock suspension by being TOO low.

I have a set. I also have a number of Eibach coilover spring sets (eight different pairs of springs) for autocrossing...

Just put FE5 shocks and struts and SSC's on last week. Rides nice. Obviously a big difference from FE1 but its not going to beat you up or anything. Drop is nice too.

Like he said pedders drop isn't too bad. When you see numbers about the size of the drop it is usually talking about an SS which already sits lower than the base model. So if it says an SS will drop 1 inch or so I believe that the base model should drop around 2. At least that's the idea, may not be the exact figures

Well im worried now, Megan springs have such a GOD DAMN awful ride, but when gremlin85 was tuning my car on the go he said his canucks hit bumps just about as bad!!!

So really what is going to work? Im going to have to take my megans off I can handle another highway trip through Boston, my buddy was behind me in his 06 ss/sc with megans and stock fe5's, we both hit a horrible construction bump, which i think bent my tie rod because im pulling left now....He hit the same bump and his car shut off!!!! It was so bad, i wanted to call the state and complain but what could i say?

It was one of those construction zones where they have the "Bump" signs on the side of the road. I thought my teeth were going to get knocked out.

So i need something that rides better bet i dont want to go any higher, what do you guys think of cutting a coil on pedders? Is that dumb?

What is the obsession with going so low? If it rides like **** and doesn't handle any better, it's pointless. The black SS above doesn't look like a 4x4 and pedders have the best reputation for handling and ride comfort

I really don't think the sportlines are that bad of a ride... I am on stock suspension with my sportlines and SS/SC rims and it looks great, rides great, and the only downside is performance. Its not bad going into corners but if you hit a bump around said corner.... Just avoid the damn bump...

I installed my springs. They ride just as good as stock springs, if not better. They look great and ride great. Definitely worth the money.
