Wheels and Suspension mods
Ok, sorry if this is in the wrong section, but I'm looking into getting rims. I don't want to do anything drastic to the suspension, (meaning springs shocks etc) My question is, does anyone know if i can fit 20's with what size tire on the stock suspension of a SS S/C? also what about 19's? And if they wont fit exactly what needs to be done? I was thinkn maybe air ride, that way when i have my 20's on I can put it where it needs, and when i got my race wheels on i can lower it, but I don't really have that kinda money for air ride and wheels. Any info is appreciated

well like wallas said 20s fit perfect with stock or sportline suspension, , but it all depends on whut u like to do, like showin ur car or racing it, i show so i got airride, i have 225-35-20 as my tire

Yea I know I said I was gonna go with 19's, but I found some rims I absolutely love and they come either 18's or 20's. I would love to have some 20's up there, and I know that air ride aint for racing...i thought bout that after i posted this...duh...but I might go with the 18's, so I can get a lower ride...I just like no wheel gap. but ill come up with something. thanx for the help

I know in the beginning you said you didn't want to do anything drastic to the suspension, well you may have to get yourself some Eibach Sportlines to get rid of that wheel gap. It's not a drastic suspension mod like air ride would be, It's rather simple to do yourself. ...and you'll love the look and the ride. Lot's of witnesses here on the site can attest to that statement. |
