Also interested in this if we can get a discussion going. Maf stuff seems pretty easy to change but ve seems a bit more tricky.

The latest HPTuners 2.25 beta supposedly has VVE(virtual VE) variables working now. It has nothing to do with the reversion tables that you are looking at and have everything to do with the VE variables in the "Speed Density" tab. You must either email support at HPTuners for the beta, or download the bluecat tool and learn how to use it and implement it into your tune, which requires frustrating amounts of of copy/paste.

Here's the rundown on how VVE works: http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showth...ll=1#post58504

So youre tuning the coefficients rather than the reversion tables? Whats the difference?

The coefficients are what actually affect the VE. They factor MAP, RPM, RPM squared, and a ton of other crap. Reversion tables are for just that. Reversion. They don't affect your airflow or fueling at all. A prominent V8 tuner on HPT forums says:

The parameters in this section are used to decide where in the engine operating zone MAF "reversion" takes place. This is a phenomenon that typically happens on 4 cylinder engines near wide-open throttle where the Mass Air Flow sensor gets confused by large pressure pulses and produces an incorrect value. The Simulation step must know when reversion occurs, so that the Mass Air Flow sensor can be ignored at those times.

Yes. Are you talking about how to use the bluecat tool or how to log/tune virtual VE? It may take me a while to write since I work odd shifts this week. Maybe a couple days. Saturday night at the latest.

Which do you prefer? I think virtual VE would be the best way
