I have a story to add the this thread. It is a bit long. Ryro14 (Ryland) lost his motor twice. The same cylinder had a cracked piston both times which is strange and the first time GM just replaced that one piston and rings and that was it. The next time they gave him a new motor. Both times he was running one of my tunes. The first time (4 years ago or so) we were running E-47 and this was before HP tuners could log rail pressure and before we had WG control and fuel injection control so he had a Trifecta underlay of Vince's waste gate tables and fuel pressure tables. The car ran perfect for 2 hours pull after pull no issues at all. A week or so later he got a low rail pressure DTC and he told me and I told him to take it easy on the car until we figure out the issue. A few days later while doing a pull he lost piston #4 (I think it was #4) likely due to fuel starvation and over heating. GM rebuilt the cylinder and he had a local (I believe it was Marca34) tune the car on 93 octane with a small meth nozzle. He drove around on that tune for a while (I think a few months or more) and then he installed a manual boost gauge on the car and realized it was boosting over 30 psi. He called and told me the car was boosting 30 psi and that scared him so he brought me the car and I lowered (by lowering the DALs, MALT and WG duty cycle) it to 23 psi with no boost spike and I ended up pulling timing as well due to KR reporting on the logs even with the meth I ended up lowering timing to 9* midrange and only 14.5* up top which is what I normally run on just 93 no meth. I suspect now the motor may have already been damaged running over 30 psi and 12-18* of timing because within a year he lost that same piston again. He did also admit to me he was running just 93 octane in the car no meth when it blew but when how the timing and boost was set up he should not have had any knock issues on just 93 octane.

Iv been here since page 1 where I posted im here for the show. learn2read!

Only as fair as the BYT thread that showed up about his problem... That guy was a good tuner, might still be if he goes back into it and doesnt try to set up the long distance email tuning thing. Doesnt seem to be his forte'.

Because of all the James arguement threads and James nutswingers, he basically said **** it and dissappeared off the site. Low and behold James' tunes were not all there cracked up to be.... Karma's a bitch.

Us guys who don't know how to tune....... Your right, I know nothing. I am just a "kid"... Forget the fact that I am a Double Master ASE Tech (over 26 current ASE Certifications), and I have extensive EFI training, along with 15+ years shop experience. Also forget the fact that I have tuned hundreds of vehicles, and have a proven track record of not destrying people's investments, and giving them the absolute best driveabitly with performance on top of it.

I have provided the fact, others have witnessed similar instances.

Here come the nutswingers.....

Car went from Las Vegas to PA. Not sure on your altitude but the last tune I sent him was a conservative 22.5 psi tune for the stock airbox but being at his altitude the wg settings are a bit more aggressive because the thinner air means less air to compress.

Oh okay you're not THAT guy, therefore I don't give a single **** about what certifications you have, how many you have, and how much time you've spent in a shop or how many cars you have tuned. There is always going to be someone with more "experience" than you, your gloating is irrelevant.

Bash James all you want, eventually you'll run into those extremely stupid customers who can't be saved because of how they treat their car. There are more cars on this forum that have been running for a long time, as proven by the supposed nut swingers as you call them that post in this thread, than cars that have had failures. It's not James's fault that he got dealt a bad hand of customers.

Wait a tick.. You have shop experience! That should mean that out of all the nut swingers, you should know how many stupid people drive cars they obviously should not.

This whole thread is complete bullshit, instead of you posting the entire tune for everyone to dissect, you put up a couple pictures and use slander. You call yourself an accomplished individual yet you don't even have the common courtesy or shop mechanic etiquette to contact the original tuner about a tune that you disagree with..

People may think James is a bad tuner, and that's for them to decide, but the real problem is people like you who are just arrogant and ignorant ********. Excuse my language moderators.

Oh and for the mods, maybe you guys should make a rule that actually protects all tuners or at least shows some respect for ALL tuners, instead of just letting people post crap on this forums without contacting the original tuner or using REAL evidence other than pictures....

Completely understandable and that's exactly what I wanted. An extremely conservative tune so that I could travel at all different altitudes especially considering at one point I was 10.5k ft above sea level at one point in Colorado. I want to get it looked at now for my area because I'm only around 370ft above sea level.

NUTSWINGER found! And my certifiacations/training DO mean something. They mean that I have spend the money and put in the time to properly do this type of work, not jsut buy a laptop and a HPT cable and claim I'm a "tuner"... I have not "bashed" James as an individual or a person... I have simply posted factual evidence that as a "tuner", he has no fu<king clue what he is doing, at least with the LNF/Bosch PCM.... I am more than happy to post his tune for the whole site to laugh at... I did not do this as a courtesy to him....

Why does everyone jump to his nuts? jesus, i dont think anyone defends Terminator or any other tuner on here as much as people do James.

I would hope this would be a place where you could get information on tunes and tuners, but if telling someone that the tuner tuned a car shitty is called "slander" then ****...everyone is guilty of that.

Heaven forbid we should say someone is bad at something.

Not sure how that is a broad statement.

You're a tuner! How would you like it if you tuned someone, then they sent your file to someone else without your knowledge to have it analyzed. Then if something was found to be "wrong", instead of it being brought up to you, it was instead "summarized" on a forum that you are active on. But wait, when you check the thread for evidence, instead of a comparison log or some type of physical evidence, there is just a picture and some words being thrown around to make it sound like something is wrong.

It doesn't matter if something is actually wrong or not, that's not the point I am making obviously, the point that I am making, which the nut swingers won't see and the unbiased shall see, is that there should be a fine line between competitive tuning practices and bashing.

This thread hasn't shed any light on the actual tune, nor has anything really been shown to "prove" that this tune is bad. Forget the past, this case is the present issue.

As of right now, Imphat is officially and publicly calling out James, a user that CAN NOT post his defense on here. Not only that, but he hasn't provided any evidence besides a picture and his experience (which mind you isn't backed up). Therefore, in legal terms, and in a court of civil dispute law, this is considered Slander and could be taken to court. Now would it hold? Depends on the lawyer and his skill, but it's still Slander nonetheless and it looks bad for Phat and this website. James is just sitting around enjoying the peace and quiet while the bashers bash someone who isn't even here.. It's like getting off to an imaginary photo of your favorite **** star. I don't get why they do it!

We are not liabilities. And cobalt tuners are protected. The ones that pay to be vendors. Based on your talkingaand previous discussions I have a feeling this isn't your only account on here
