Cobalt SS/SC 2007
Hello,
I recently purchased hptuners and I am using it on my almost stock cobalt so that I may learn how to use it properly before installing a lot of parts.
While logging I noticed a few things which I have questions about.
1) I noticed that that my tps only hit 88% under wot. I did several wot runs to see if it was just me, but they all had the same result.
2)I did the KPA convert to Boost in PSI and when I do my runs I notice that my analog boost gauge reads slightly higher than the HPtuners Boost Gauge. Is there a reason for this?
3)I hear a lot about turning off torque management but when I look in HPtuners for for a related subject, I see there are several torque management options with no obvious on/off switches. Can you direct me to what I am looking for?
My only mod is an INJEN CAI

2)Stock boost gauge in car is not exactly accurate
3)You do not "need" TQ management. There will not be an "on/off" you must set the cells to "0".

First off thank you for the quick reply.
You said "set the cells to 0" what cells are you referring too?
engine torque tab
vs iat?
vs ac preassure?
general tab
or under spark reduction where it says torque reduction?

Sorry that was vague I meant 0 everything out under the TRANS section.
Under the AC pressure and IAT cells I left alone. Under the ETC limits and spark retard mine is 0. Max brake torque managmentis set to 6042.
I have not had problems when it was changed. I guess wait to see if someone objects with me. I have not been tuning as long as most..

$649.00 (pro edition) Then you need a wideband O2 sensor unless you don't plan on adjusting AFR or don't care to do it with a Narrow Band (which is kinda difficult)
As for the Transmission section. My transmission section is completely blank when I open up the VCM scanned file. Do I need to plug into the car to be able to view and change anything under the Transmission tab?

I emailed HPTuners about it and they said this.
"There is no tcm code in the 07 cobalts, gm never put it in there since they use a manual transmission(ie they finally got smart about it)."
So I guess I am unable to edit anything in the transmission tab
