Does this sound like a tune problem(cobalt addiction Stage 1)?
Does this sound like a tune problem(cobalt addiction Stage 1)?
Here's the story. About a THREE months ago now I purchased the Cobalt Addiction Stage 1 kit, which comes with a 3.0 pulley, belt, step colder plugs, and a ECU reflash. In the process of doing this, I realized I had a huge gasket leak into my #3 Spark Plug tube. We removed the valve cover and replaced all 4 spark plug tube gaskets, as well as the valve cover gasket. Simple job, had no issues, re-torqued everything in factory order.
Now, here is what's happening. Immediately after putting everything on, we started the car. It starts right up, but the idle is all over the place, bounces up and down, then stalls within 10 seconds. If you rev it a little, the rpms will go up, but it is super choppy and will bog and stall within a few seconds. The one and only time we were able to drive it, it jerked horribly all over the place and we got the ENGINE POWER REDUCED on the dash.
Here is what I have checked and done, and has made no difference.
-Checked for obvious leaks
-Double checked all sensors and ECU connections
-Replaced Throttle body with brand new unit from Chevy incase TPS was messed up
-Sent ECU back to Cobalt Addiction for another reflash incase the first was messed up. Replaced and had no effect.
At this point, I am fairly confident it is a faulty tune, even though Cobalt Addiction(dont get me started on their customer service
) SWEARS that its not. If a tune is faulty or scaled for larger injectors then stock, wont the car idle horribly, bog, and stall as my car is doing?
What is wrong that the car will not run? We had it flatbedded to our local Chevy dealership for the CASE relearn, but the tech could not get through the procedure without the car stalling out. I am located in Northern NJ, so if anyone could recommend a shop/forums member that could get this thing running or at least shed some light, I would greatly appreciate it.

I do not have the HPT software. I was hoping a decent tune with the CA kit would get me by...
Any suggestions for where to find an HP Tuner in my area(northern NJ)? I found a forums member suggested by someone here, but could not find any contact info on him...
