93 octane timing and boost.
I'm trying to understand how this works and what I can do next.
So im running an 05 LSJT. I have a z57 turbo with stock fuel pump, 60 pound injectors, stock maf, full intercooler kit a2a. Full 3 inch exhaust. Etc.
My question is? I am running 93 on 20 lbs of boost. I was told that because of the gas I'm running at 93 I cannot boost any higher and I am maxed out on the horsepower. So if this is true why? Why could I not get bigger injectors and the high output maf and boost higher? My timing is pretty low at full boost. At 21lbs it drops really low. But is there anything I can do to continue my build and get more horsepower.

I’m assuming your tuner told you you cannot run anymore?
On 60lb injectors I’m assuming you’re pretty much maxing out your fuel system in which case fuel mods would allow you to run more boost.
if your maxed out in the sense of actual fuel quality (I can’t see that on 93oct at 20psi on that turbo) but without all
the information of your tune it’s hard to say. What is your timing at, you said it’s low but didn’t say how much you were running. What may seem low on other platforms may not be so on a boosted application.
if your limited by fuel quality you’ve got a couple options.
id you have access to e85 in your state upgrade your injectors and get tuned on e85/ or e47(50/50 mix 93 and e85) there are big gains to be made. If you haven’t got easy access to e85 then meth injection is the best bandaid for that.

for starters, go with a minimum of 80# injectors. im running 160# injectors on E85 and boosting 32psi
Then dial the fuel injectors in with the tune so fueling is perfect, then start by increasing timing 1* in the max load cells while in boost. should be in the neighborhood of 18-20* provided no knock. Up to 24* on E85
