LNF GMS1 back to stock base file from repository

I've got a gms1 tune from previous owner I've been working on with hptuners. I've read a few times now that it's better to use a stock a file, so my question is do i just write entire a stock file from the repository or do I need to match vins first?

Do NOT write a tune from the repository to your car. Make changes to the existing tune on your car. That's why they say to start with a stock file, because you do one thing wrong and you fry your computer.

The existing tune one my car is GMS1. I need a stock file to modify since the gms1 apparently has more 'turbo nannies' that hptuners dosnt have unlocked. So if anyone's willing to send me a good stock file from a 09 lnf I guess that's what I need if the ones from the repository arnt good enough (which I honestly find hard to believe). Also I'm still not sure if I'd need to change the vin anywhere to keep things like bcm communication and the keys happy.

You're absolutely correct. Working off of a stock file will net better results than a GMS1 base. PM me and I can hook you up with a legit 09 lnf file.

So I'll have to use credits to unlock the new base file or is there a way to match the vin so I won't have to?

You have to unlock the file that you are flashing. But you don't have to unlock what's on the car.

If i understand this correctly, you'll have to buy credits again for the new "stock" cal you want to write. i'm assuming you already bought credits for the GMPP stage kit on the car, well u'll have to buy credits again for the new cal. or at least that's how i understand it.
