Who can tune LNFs really well in DE, MD, PA, NJ area?
Ive had two tunes on my car so far. Both from Nick at BYT. One tripped a CEL due to LTFT creep over time. So I had him retune the car and that eliminated the problem. First tune was 20 psi, second tune is set to 24psi.
I really really like his second tune that he put on this car. My only issue is that its alittle bit of an On/Off Switch.. Thats the best way to describe it. There is really no partial throttle allowed on this car near 60% throttle or higher, the boost will bounce and the car will get into a accel/decel dance thing which Im sure looks terrible to other drivers lol. At WOT, its on point. Strong pull up to redline. I just want some additional tuning to make it more "factory??". A car manufacturer wouldnt sell a car that had a bucking issue like this right? lol.
So what tuners are in the area that can balance my throttle across the rpm range better instead of on / off switch. I may even want the car detuned alittle bit since the clutch cant handle the low rpm torque. slips below 3500rpms but still holds on the stock tune below 3000rpms in 5th gear at 100% WOT so its not a bad clutch.
Oh and yeah I have two PCMs, one has my factory tune untouched, the 2nd PCM has a HPtuners tune from BYT.

Oh yeah, I remember you lol. The tune he left me with was satisfying in a way that I could drive the car without getting a CEL eventually. Im wanting better driveability now.
The problem is in some instances its best to roll into the throttle during a race or run on the track to avoid tire spin. Yeah, I cant do that lol.

yea my car was never running right... driveability sucked. wouldn't idle right, bogged down, even WOT i was hesitant to step on it (like the car was choking.) Car runs so much better now, down low and up top... hauls ass to redline and wants to keep going.
to me, smooth driveability is more important then a couple more HP. From what i've seen, many tuners go real aggressive midrange on the LNFs to get those high torque spikes/numbers... but don't think it's best for the clutch, trans and drivetrain in the long run.

I've been tuned by term,James and brianthelion26 and James helped with the first setup and come to find out my boost curve mid range was insane and then term helped Brian and I out and got the car squared away after my tranny went lol but honestly man brianthelion knows his lsj's and lnf's and I'll keep going to Brian he's tuned a couple lnfs here on the forum. Hit him up man I'm sure he will be glad to help
BriantheLion in PA? How close to Newark DE?
Nicks tune isnt bad. Its actually pretty good. Im being more picky now tho then I was 3-4 years ago. I dont like the boost on/off switch after 50% throttle. For daily driving I its fine but sometime you just want that 60-70% throttle and knowing that I cant do that without looking like I dont know how to drive stick bothers me lol.
The biggest problem would be when the boost spikes up and you accelerate, your body tries to correct by holding your foot steady and your foot releases off the pedal slightly and now your boost drops and you decel. Its a dance. I guess the gas pedal is too touchy?
The whole torque spike thing every tuner is guilty for. Its definately impressive to the owner when they get that experience but its not great for the long term. Ive been switching my stock tune and BYT tune so thats how i've coped for this long
