TTR = #1 yet again!
Wanted to say, yet again, I am extremely happy with turbo tech. Ordered a Hydro Shield, received a tracking # within an hour, and it's scheduled for delivery today. I have never had anything short of the absolute best experiences with TTR and Aaron.
Thanks again! |

Don't get too excited about the hydroshield. I kept having water problems, my dryflow on my k&n typhoon kept getting damp and was messing with the MAF. I thought sure the hydroshield would fix it, nope. The water ends up running down the pipe itself and would actually get under the hydroshield.
I also did the same thing you did, the water test with my hand in it. After I used it about a week or so, my dad said it was a piece of shit. He put his hand in it and I dumped water out of a gallon jug on it and water definitely came through. Wasn't much, i'll give it that, but it didn't stop 100% of it. All in all, it gives you some security yeah, it just didn't fix the problem I was having. I fixed it myself, never put the hydroshield back on and sold it to someone else. |

Your guess is as good as mine. From what I have noticed, 1. it is blowing in through the grill when it is raining out, and 2. when water runs off the windshield, even from washing it, it drains down under the coolant tank and goes down the hole where your pipe goes down to the filter. I even tried plugging that hole with crap, water still found its way down. I ended up making a shield with a hole in it, just big enough to fit up over my pipe at the bottom, so far it hasn't gotten wet after that. It never got "wet", just damp enough that it would pull moisture out of it and mess with the MAF and the car would run like shit.
