Hey Aaron, you should ask your powder coater to do a better job of prepping. My powder coat is crispier than a potato chip it almost like it was painted on instead of powder coated.
Started installing mind today and it does take much to have the pc chipped and flake off the mani. I play around a bit with powder coating a few years back and it didn't chipped this easily?

I had the red pc and it just chipped very easy just like paint without primer in around the flange, bolt holes and some where I had barely touches during install. I can understand it may scrapes on the surfaces but not peeling/flaking off and around the damage area. Just an FYI I am not **** off.

It's good to know that you'd offer to redo this but it's not necessary because my car isn't a 10/10 show car. I just want you to know maybe other peoples are more particulate of their parts then myself.

Damn I want one but yet again car is in the shop for repair! woman side swiped me on the Interstate sunday ! Fu$k up the balt bad! gonna be a while now for sure

I have to fab up a new bracket for the dipstick tube and one for my ZZP boost controller. Both of those parts and some other things were mounted on the stock intake.
Even though this was a stock bolt-on intake, I will have to make some mod to my ZZP up pipe ( from ic to tb ) to bolt up to my tb. Now I am not sure if the ZZP pipe was a little off to begin with and the intake may be a little off the stock location as well? I find that it will not line up and no way I can bolt both of them up without having to bend the pipe 1/2" to the passenger side to make it work. Will see how it all line up once I bend the pipe tomorrow. I think the stock pipe has more give then the ZZP pipe so this may not be an issue?

How are you guys doing performance wise? Mine seems to be unchanged from stock mostly, but then again I havent had a tune update for it yet. What I can say, is any thoughts of heat soak are unfounded, it is actually cold to the touch. Stands to reason, the air flowing thru it keeps it cool, where the factory intake is a big heat sink. Mine came powder coated metallic silver, I had some trouble getting it to seal to the head ( instructions stated to use silicon on the manifold, but did not say to reuse your existing gasket. You need the gasket ). I bought a new gasket from my local Chevrolet dealer for just $10.99 and installed it dry, sealed right up. I had it on and off 3 times total counting the new gasket, Powder did not chip at all. Was very impressed on the durability of the powder coat on mine. Should be tuned within the next few weeks, would like to see if it wakes up some.

Minds is chipping at all the bolt holes can't say the same. You have much better luck than I.
BTW, there is a big concern in the manifold which hinder the stock pcv system and I am working on a solution around it. It may even be better than stock if I my idea is correct. Beware.

You dont have a stock turbo; therefore you dont have a stock PCV system, and with that inlet manifold for sure you have eliminated one part of it. So there is no real information you can provide here on this matter to folks with stock turbo pcv cars, or to someone who wishes to keep the function of the stock pcv intact.

I am not here to pic a spat with anyone just something that was curious and was pointed out to me. So I am here to share this info with the community. Blocking this port isn't going to blow up your engine today, tomorrow or next week. Just as having a big turbo isn't going to blow up your car but it will likely won't last as long as having the stock ko4.. You know what I am saying? So this manifold does interfere with the design of the pcv system.
Having said that, I have a good idea to make it work with the TTR manifold which may be even better than the stock system just for the stand point that I can get the oil out of the manifold. This is more important to me then performance gain which initially the reason for buying this thing. I know there's not much Aaron can do unless he decided to incorporate this into his manifold but that will add cost to the price.
Now that I have an idea how I may make this work, I will buy this manifold again just for the point of improving on my pcv with Powell's PCV kit.
To illustrate, here's a pic of the stock intake with a pcv valve in it
This is where that pcv line up to at the head.
Now this is where it should have been on the TTR mani and I've used a intake gasket to illustrate.

Install is Simple and Easy. Takes about 45min - 1hr to uninstall and install the new one.
Far as i know, no one with a stock turbo has dyno the manifold. but i've dyno this on my car with the BNR2871.
